Whether they're human or humanoid, the companions are our eyes and ears inside the TARDIS. They represent us and it doesn't matter whether they react to or handle a situation like we would, they are of point of reference as well as our interaction with the Doctor himself.
Without the Doctor's friends asking questions, learning and growing, we ourselves wouldn't know what an occular tracker does or why Time Lords have two hearts and a respitory bypass system.
In this section we'll be looking at the companions both old and new, providing interesting facts, running brief biogs and listing their stories.
